Welcome to My World

Last night my friends and I had discussed how to celebrate New Year’s Eve until 1 am, because we had different purposes. Finally I decided where and what time I wanted to go; It’s my First New Year’s Eve in New York, I must go to Times Square!

昨晚和同學們討論跨年的活動一直到凌晨一點，因為我們有不同意見。但是我決定我就是要去時代廣場，這是我的新年，當然要照我的意願，就看誰要跟或不跟，反正我就是要去！ 

We supposed to meet each other at 11, but due to group’s meeting, there was always somebody late. We had a full Korean food and walked to Times Square around 1 pm. At the time, there were already thousands of people waiting there! Even we tried to get closer the stage; the police said those people arrived at 4 am! Finally, we stayed on 48th street to could see the ball drop. Then we started a long, tiring and boring waiting….

團體聚會就是這樣，總是會有人遲到，一早就讓我心情不耐煩，本來約好11點到學校，吃完很有飽足感的韓國料理後，我們走路到時代廣場的時候都已經下午一點了。即使已經提早11小時到現場，還是擠不進舞台前方，只好停留在48街處，無法直接看到舞台但至少還可以看到球。就這樣開始漫長、累人的和無聊的11小時…..

From daytime to sunset… no performances, all we could do is to take some pictures for fun

從白天等到日落…完全沒表演…只好自拍來消遣時間

The performances started at 6 pm. Every hour the screen showed how many hours to go….for far we had to wait for six hours…

終於一路站到6點，開始有一些串場活動和整點倒數，目前還有6小時…

As someone said, it was ridiculous to stand in the crowded place as a fool. Some sat on the road, the only thing I did is try my best to record every part of Times Square which is the world- famous place.

就這樣跟大家一樣，像個傻子一樣呆站在擁擠的人群中，已經開始有人坐在地上打盹，我只想用我最大的努力去記錄我所在世界知名的時代廣場。

It’s really tiring, look, my friend totally fell asleep!

在這裡等真的是不是吃就是睡，我同學睡得好死!

終於來個比較大牌的明星了！小賈斯汀!!!(啊!!我後面的女生狂叫，真可惜我對這型沒興趣..

Looked at the sky from where I was standing. It still unbelievable I am in NEW YORK!

從我所站的位置仰望紐約天空，我還是要自問我真的在紐約嗎?

…..Really boring…..we found something for fun… yeah, taking pictures! At the time, a couple bought a big pizza and generously shared with us. During holidays, people are more friendly than usual time.

真的是無事可做….只好拍自己的照片自娛。有一對情侶買了披薩還很慷慨的請我們吃，在這種集體有共同信念的情況下，人都會比較友善。

After some famous super stars singing, Lady Gaga with special outfit sang three songs. It’s true as the host said, “ It’s the biggest party in New York! “

陸續一些大牌明星出場，也包括了Lady Gaga唱現場。就像主持人講的，這是全紐約最大的派對

Everything got better at the last three hours. Finally it’s the last minute to countdown

過了最後第三小時，開始比較沒那麼難熬了，很快的，終於來到倒數時刻了

The most attractive things for me aren’t super stars, fireworks or the ball drop; it’s one tones of confetti falling from the sky!!! I yelled when I saw the scene in person!!! I picked some for my souvenirs.

我最期待的不是明星表演，也不是煙火、也不是球的下降，而是五彩碎紙從天而降，我撿了好多當紀念品.

It was a romantic moment. It’s a pity I couldn’t find anyone to kiss at midnight. From last week, my friends were bothered by this problem.

可惜這麼浪漫的時刻還是沒找到人可以在午夜時分擁吻。從上個禮拜開始，我的朋友就已經開始擔心這個問題了。

Happy New Year, everyone!

After the great celebration, the only left was garbage.

有人的地方就會有垃圾滿地。

I grabbed a floating balloon. Maybe it means I can get a chance in the New Year!

抓到了一個漂浮中的氣球，來應應景。

I walked to the stage to take a look. There were still lots of people. I f I came alone, I would stay here to watch how they cleaned the street.

散場後往舞台方向走，還是一樣擁擠的人潮，要是我一個人來(我同伴不斷抱怨他腳痛和他想尿尿)，我會留下來記錄最後喧囂過後的整理工作。

 Trash is a part of Times Square countdown. Don’t doubt why I took pictures of it.

垃圾也是時代廣場跨年的重要一環，別問我為何要拍垃圾。

A big group tired people walked from the most crowded place twenty minutes ago.

拖著沉重疲憊的步伐，大家離開了20分鐘前還是全世界最擁擠的地方。這時我的膀胱已經沒感覺了吧!將近12小時沒有上廁所...

It was not so tiring even I am old. I could stay another 11 hours! ( Kidding!! No way!)

雖然我有點年紀了，但也沒那麼累啦!還撐得下去!
