Welcome to My World

Yesterday I was ill so that I couldn’t do sightseeing; today I have to see more places! One the way I was worried about my illness, maybe I could vomit or have to go to the restroom any time!

Today the weather was nice! The view on the highway was so amazing!( I took risks to get pictures while I was driving…)

After driving 40 minutes, I arrived the Dinosaur Ridge, no admission. Colorado is famous place where has discovered fossils and rocks.

The snow was not all melted, so some tracks were under the snow.

Even no snow, I couldn’t exactly tell where the tracks are.

The most exciting thing is the bones of dinosaurs!

The old rock were over 150 million years ago!

The other side of the trail, there are old mining.

It’s the part of Rocks mountains.

There are also cow ranches.

 “Colorado” means “ red”, the earth is almost red.Red Rocks is not so far from Dinosaur Ridge. It’s also the top three places I wanted to visit.

It’s a natural outdoor amphitheater. There are two huge red rocks on the sides of the stage. It’s said the performers don’t need the microphone but the audience can hear the clear sound without stereos.

Only in summer time there are concerts. If I can listen to a convert here, it must be a special experience!

From the stage see toward the seats. I imagine I am a famous singer!

I climbed some many stairs to the top of the seat. The back of the stage are mountains with natural views.

Get closer to see the rock. It’s the power of nature; every part takes such a long time to form!

The visitor center displays the rewards of the Red Rock Amphitheater.

The background with Red Rocks which are covered with snow; I am very lucky even  couldn’t come in summer time, I still saw the snow with Red Rocks.

It’s really convenient having a car, next I decided to drive back to downtown to see the cute Big Blue Bear. The time was a little bit late, Blue Bear didn’t look blue.

It was designed to look into Colorado Convention Center. The pose looks so cute and very interesting. It is already my favorite art work in USA.

 I must buy one to be my souvenir! I would come back before I leave Denver!

I felt very peaceful and calm while I was walking on Denver streets. Here there were no too many vehicles and pedestrians , and the weather was cool. It shows totally different city style from the big cities like San Francisco or New York City.

Surprises are everywhere. Arts in Denver are highly developed and they shows their specialties.

City and County of Denver is lit up in the evening I saw tourism brochures said it was lit by green and red lights during Christmas holidays! Every city in different seasons has special activities. Never stay in a city for couples of days. It’s never enough.

With a happy and relaxed mood going back to pick up my car, there was a surprise waiting for me! Yes, the parking ticket! I paid money only for parking 30 minutes, but I was just late for 10 minutes!! I had to pay 25 dollars for one day parking fee! It is so strict!

Tonight I moved to another motel, The Hampton Inn, is located in the south of Denver. I planned visit the west of Denver, It should be near, hope I feel better afterwards.

Because of my illness, there were two days I didn’t eat any hot food. When people feel ill, they always want to eat familiar food to seek hometown taste. I drove 5 minutes to buy Chinese food. It really surprised me that I didn’t see any Asians here, but you still can find Chinese food everywhere!

At the beginning I thought I got the wrong place, strange style.

At the time I enjoyed the lonely traveling moment!!! I could stay in a big room and do everything I want!
