1020 NY Public Library－Welcome to My World

昨晚刻意早點睡，想要恢復我失去已久的活力，沒想到早上鬧鐘響了還是按掉繼續睡，所以我遲到了！！為何我當學生後就變成慣性遲到？我實在很難早起，一路上匆匆忙忙的趕去學校，還是遲到了20分鐘！還好早上課的老師不太計較，前一天下午休息時間後晚回班上，還被老師念說下次遲到就等下節課才能進教室。(I tried to get up early and found my energy back! But I ignored the alarm, I was late again! Yesterday afternoon the teacher warned me if I was late again, I had a wait outside until next course!)

我們今天還找了另一個新同學一起去找老師推薦的漢堡店，走了六個街區先看到有名的熨斗大樓。

(Today we went to the Washington Square to taste a famous hamburger stand. This time we invited another classmate to go there. We walked for six blocks, and we saw the Flatiron Building.)

My teacher recommended the hamburger place: Shake Shack. It was a long waiting line….When we got there, It was 1:30 already!

看來兩點前是吃不到了！陪他們排了一下隊，還算了一下走回去的時間，根本來不及吃到了！只好自己走回去，在路上選了一間deli買了自助餐沙拉帶去班上吃了。(It was possible to get a hamburger before 2pm. I had to say goodbye to them and would come back next time! I bought salad in a deli on the way to school.)

路上經過了美食攤，順便進去逛逛。

(I also saw a street food stands, and I took a look. But I didn’t have enough time to stop. There were a lot of people waiting in front of hamburger stands.)

中午聽同學說公立圖書館很近，下課後就打算直接去逛逛。

(This afternoon I planned to visit Public Library. It’s the Mid Manhattan Library cross from Public Library.)

終於到了夢幻之地，New York Public Library。

前面有很多戶外座位區。 Many people were sitting in front of the library.

I just applied a library card! There were two Koreans taking pictures and pretended they were reading too! Interesting!

The sign above the gate says, “ A good booke is the pretios life blood of mafter fpirit imbalm’d and treafuid up on purpofe to a life beyonf life” . Ok, the meaning must be good, but I don’t understand…

On the hallway, I found this like a water fountain. It doesn’t work anymore.

Another small room seems interesting, but I couldn’t enter. It’s locked.

I tried to knock the door to ask if I could visit, but women inside waved their hands to say no.

On the way home, I bought sushi for half discount. They cost around 6, not expensive.

Now you can see me how I ate alone. Nobody sat near me too.

On sixth Ave, there are lots of accessory store. If I am a fashion designer, I will like here very much. Unfortunately I am not, I just a tourist here…

I found a popcorn store, I like popcorn!! I must try! I bought a small bag mix-flavor, too sweet and oily,even thouhg I finished it in two days!

I saw a long queue. I was so curious what they were waiting for. I asked the guide, he said it ‘s a club! Manhattan Center! I don’t know it! It’s just upstairs! Maybe next time I can join them!
