Welcome to My World

My first morning classmates are leaving this week; the tradition on Fridays is taking the whole class pictures! But it’s a risk to asking someone to take pictures─everyone looks strange!!! Guess who is the teacher? Remember the teeth and the eyes’ color?

(禮拜五啦!!我最早認識的早上課同學要離開了！又是個離別的團體照。只是請人幫忙拍照都會有風險，每個人看起來怎麼都怪怪的！哪個是老師？還記得我說過特別的牙齒和不同顏色的眼睛嗎？)

現在用手機上yelp每天搜尋不同食物和店家，盡量吃些不同的，今天選了附近評價不錯的Deli，今天自己吃飯！(I yelp the reviews of the delis or restaurants to find new places for lunch. Today I enjoyed the food by myself.)

經過一間看起來不錯的的咖啡店，應該是日本人開的，甜點看起來挺不錯的，下次來吃看看，今天先點一杯拿鐵。

After lunch, I walked pass a Japanese coffee shop which looks lovely, I ordered a Latte and maybe try the dessert next time.

下課後帶著興奮的心情去機場接媽媽，她要來紐約陪我玩10天！搭地鐵換搭機場快線到第五航廈，快看到媽媽啦！

(In an excited mood, I went to JFK to pick up my mom, and she is going to stay in New York for ten days. I took a subway and changed Airtrain to get to JFK)

晚餐後就在附近的deli買了三明治和沙拉吃，用我那不流利的英文點了食物，媽媽還對超大份量的美國食物感到驚訝!

(My mom was waiting for me when I arrived to luggage claim! We bought salad and sandwiches nearby my residence; my mom was surprised with big size of American food!)

Today I woke up with my mom staying by my side! I had a whole afternoon to take my mom to visit New York City. (今天在媽媽的陪伴下醒來，有整個下午的時間可以帶媽媽在紐約好好玩！)

Because my classmates asked to take pictures with another teacher, Greg, we took aagian. (今天跟另一個老師照一張離別團體照，我們有兩個老師在交替上課!)

She is an English teacher from Brazil, nice and humorous.

She is from Switzerland German part. They are really friendly.

After the class, I rushed to come back my hotel to meet my mom. We went an Indian deli, cause she said she wanted to try different food. Is it delicious? I think every food tastes good. (下課後趕快回家跟媽媽會合，中午就在附近挑了間印度食物來吃看看。媽說雖然她已經在美國待了一個多月，但還很少吃到美國當地的東西。問我好不好吃不準，我到紐約後沒有覺得東西是難吃的!)

I took her to Staten Island to take the free ferry. (Actually it’s not free, but we can take by metro card, not to pay extra momey.)

用地鐵卡就可以搭乘渡輪到Staten Island.不用再另外付船票。

Taking a ferry or ship sailing on the sea is interesting, for I like the wind blowing on my face. But, It was cold outside!

(我很喜歡坐船，享受風吹拂在臉上的感覺，但是也實在太冷了啊!)

It was mad cold today! The ferry stopped at Saten Island, the cold weather made us lose the interest to visit the island. We waited in the ferry building for next ferry back to Manhattan, and we saw a loyal security dog there.

(實在冷到不行，一推開大門就決定放棄走到渡輪大廈外面，所以我們待在室內等下一般渡輪回曼哈頓。)

Getting on the ferry again! At that time there were few people.

(再度上船，回程人比較少可以拍比較多個人照了。)

The chance which we stay in NYC together is valuable; I have to take tones of pictures of Mom!

Go to Wall Street again! It’s a must-see!

New York Stock Exchange. As a stock trader , she must to see the most important stock institute in the world.

(紐約證交所，有注意股票的媽媽一定要來朝聖一下。)

The famous church. We are not followers, we admire the beauty of the structure and atmosphere.

(雖然我們不是信徒，但是也很欣賞教堂中肅穆的氣氛和美麗的彩繪。)

At the spot of Occupy Wall Street. Mom is worried about donation if we take pictures of them.

(直擊占領華爾街示威現場！跟媽媽說拍照她們會要求捐獻，所以她一直擔心我們是不是要捐錢才能拍照的問題。)

And then I brought Mom to visit China Town，we chose a Chinese restaurant to eat steamed dumplings!

(去完華爾街，再帶媽媽去中國城繞繞，晚餐選了一間中國餐廳，先讓媽媽比較看看中國菜的口味。)

We ordered too much, because Mom said I could order whatever I wanted! She thought I never had a good meal during these months, I am Mom’s baby!

(有媽的孩子最幸福！媽媽只說想吃就點，我已經省吃儉用計較價格三個多月，第一次可以跟媽媽撒嬌炒說要吃什麼東西！)

Mom bit a steamed dumpling but the soup sprayed on her glasses.

(媽媽還被小籠包的湯汁給噴到眼鏡!)

She took a lot of meat and vegetables on my dish; she thought I need more nutrition. At the moment, I felt the reason she came if for me not for NYC tour!

(媽媽夾了好多菜在我盤子裡要我多吃一點，因為她覺得我老是吃泡麵沒營養吧!我這瞬間覺得媽媽根本是要來照顧我的，不是要來玩的!)

I was so happy that mom stayed with me; we could sleep together and chat all the time, I want Mom to have fun here, I decided to plan the tour well

(可以跟媽媽在異鄉一起睡覺一起聊天，我感覺好幸福!我希望媽媽在紐約玩得開心，我一定要好好計畫媽媽的紐約行!)
